Wacky House Design is a family run business, one of our driving forces in developing Wacky House Design is in the belief that we can help counter the two major and inextricably linked epidemics of inactivity and obesity in our children, through imaginative play, in a fun way, as it is staggering to us as parents that the current scientific view is that for the first time the life expectancy of children in Britain is set to fall!

Children who watch more television, play on computer games, eat fewer family meals and don’t exercise are more likely to be overweight and are leaving themselves open for diseases like diabetes this is not the only issue related to childhood obesity, obese children may have greater difficulty with high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, orthopaedic problems, sleeping habits as well as self-esteem and peer relationships, we believe active living at an early age begins a habit of lifelong physical activity and promotes a healthy weight. It also helps children learn a variety of social, emotional and physicall skills, we believe in the power of imaginative play.

We believe to counter this terrible trend we should be aiming to help make Britain the most active play nation in the world, admittedly a very ambitious goal... Why NOT? Making this happen will require a revolution in behaviour and eating habits.
